A sand candle is made from loose, granular soy wax — think of it like fine wax sand. Instead of coming in a pre-made vessel, you pour the wax sand into any heat-safe container of your choice, place a wick, and light.

The best part? It's completely reusable. When your candle has burned down, you simply allow the wax to cool, remove the small amount of clumped wax around the wick, replace with a fresh wick, and you're ready to go again. The same wax sand, the same vessel, a brand new candle experience.

About the Wicks
Our sand candle wicks are 100% cotton, pre-waxed and biodegradable — fully in keeping with the eco-conscious nature of the product. Each wick measures 6cm in length and burns for up to 12 hours, giving you a long, clean, reliable burn every time.
How to Use Your Sand Candle
It really is as simple as it sounds:
- Choose your vessel — any heat-safe container works beautifully. Glass bowls, ceramic pots, terracotta, decorative tins — the choice is yours and it's a great opportunity to get creative.
- Pour in your wax sand — fill your vessel to your desired depth
- Add fragrance — a few drops of your favourite essential or fragrance oil stirred through the wax sand gives you a personalised scent experience
- Place your wick — press it gently into the centre of the wax sand
- Light and enjoy
When you're done, allow the wax to cool completely, remove the small clump of used wax around the base of the wick, drop in a fresh wick, and you're ready to go again.
